SEEDS OF GROWTH CHARITY DINNER

We are thrilled when partners and friends of ours connect and collaborate! Ryan and Jen Muir, dear friends and supporters of ours, represented BMF Foundation at Branches of Hope annual charity dinner in Hong Kong. We are so happy to support Branches of Hope as they serve refugee and non-refoulement claimants, survivors of human trafficking, and the community at-risk. SCIENCE LAB REPORT BORACAY, PHILIPPINES

BMF Foundation provided the science equipment for the new science lab at the Jubilee School in Boracay, Philippines. The lab upgrades their education and is giving students a taste and love for STEM subjects. Take a look at Grade 8's excitement and gratitude!

APOSTLES CHILDREN HOME NEPAL

The Apostles Children Home in Nepal is one of our long-time BMF Foundation partners. We’ve had the privilege of being able to hear some amazing stories from them over the years. This past year, they were able to do quite a number of things, including a Taekwondo classes, a new girl who has joined ACH, and one girl just graduated with her bachelor’s degree.

BRANCHES OF HOPE HONG KONG

It has been our privilege to partner with Branches of Hope in their project to promote health and protection for the migrant community, vulnerable to human trafficking, in Hong Kong. They provided rent and met urgent needs of women-at-risk, who were exiting the sex workers arena. Monthly medical community outreaches, including the distribution of sexual health kits and HIV self-test kits and resource cards in 4 different languages were given to approximately 1,500 women in the period of 8 months. Health education workshops were also conducted. We are proud of this pioneering and brave group!

SUPPORTING TEACHERS HARARE, ZIMBABWE

Mrs Nzvere and Mrs Dube are two committed and caring teachers with TUACT who educate some of the most vulnerable children in Nyastime, Harare area. In extremely challenging circumstances and with little resources, they continue to bring hope to these precious children, impacting both their today and tomorrows. It is our joy to play a little part in supporting these wonderful educators.

NEWLANDS RETREAT CENTER HARARE/ZIMBABWE

The Newlands Retreat Center in Harare, Zimbabwe is an amazing facility led by the Mutsvene Family! Their hearts to see the community change for the good has brought hope to the area. Newlands has two types of lodging: 1) dorms for large teams and missions 2) rooms for individuals to rest and refresh. "We hope this place will bring peace to our guests and to the community surrounding!" - Nathan Brantingham

TEAM BUILDING PROJECT HONG KONG

Based in Hong Kong, HKOR's program provides an educational experience that fosters leadership development in young people. The team building exercises include practical tools that help to nurture the development of strong character traits. We are grateful for this group who have a heart to equip and empower marginalised youth.

Seeds of Hope Academy: Library/Computer Lab Project

We are so happy that the scholars are so excited about their new library and computers. Assistant Director PJ Hauan says: I think it is going to take these kids so much further and open up so many more possibilities for them!' This amazing group are reaching the most vulnerable children in Jos, Nigeria and changing lives.

MAGAZINE SCHOOL, ZAMBIA

In 2021, the BMF foundation sponsored the constructing of desks and chairs to the Magazine School in Zambia. After some time the chairs and desks were finally delievered this year! We can’t be happier to see these students using these supplies and we hope for future leaders to be formed in this school!

JUNIOR HIGH CLASSROOM UCA, SOUTH AFRICA

Implementing the Cambridge Curriculum has caused a quick numerical growth at UCA. This has resulted in more space being required. We are happy to partner with them in obtaining a prefabricated, aluminium classroom. We trust this latest addition will enhance the scholars learning experience and facilitate future growth. Go UCA!

SOCCER GEAR DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA

Siyaya Soccer Academy got a huge boost with the arrival of sponsored soccer kits for both the junior and senior teams, balls and training equipment. The coaches are excited to use the new equipment to train the boys and see some of them move from playing on the streets into the higher leagues. Sport is a wonderful way to connect and mentor the next generation and Siyaya wants to provide a place where they belong and find a healthy purpose.

FOOD PROJECT
MAZOWE, ZIMBABWE

COVID-19 has had significant devastating effects on the people of Zimbabwe, in both urban and rural areas. We have been able to partner with New Day Education Trust (NDET) and local farmers to source, package and distribute 10 tons of mealie meal “A staple of their diet”. This amount will feed a minimum of 100 people for 6 months. We are grateful to partner with NDET who are working hard on the ground to meet the hunger needs of the people in the Mazowe district. 

TEACHER AT KELSO
KELSO, SOUTH AFRICA

There has been dramatic and positive change since the employment of Caren Edwards at Jabulani’s Creché in Kelso, South Africa. She has already implemented a new curriculum and is building a strong team. The creché is being transformed from a care center to an academic center. The students are happier and more engaged.

Gathering Together’s, Lara Olson says that the new developments will ‘change the children’s lives and whole community forever.’

NEPAL

It is our privilege to partner with Humanity’s Hands as they care for the most vulnerable of children. We are delighted to fund the tuition, school uniforms, stationery, transport and basic medical needs of 20 orphans in Nepalgunj. Ps Mohan tells us the story of a little girl, who joined them in June 2019.

She had come from an abusive home. He says: ‘She was insecure and afraid. It took a little while for her to adjust here. After a few months she recovered from her past and completely healed. She is the happiest girl now.’
